Croton plants (Codiaeum variegatum) are amazingly varied plants commonly grown as houseplants. In the indoors croton plant has a reputation for being fussy, but in fact, if you know how to care for the croton plant properly, it can make a hard to kill plant indoors.
Like many houseplants, caring for a croton involves proper watering and humidity. Since it is a tropical plant, it does benefit from high humidity, so placing it on a pebble tray or regularly misting it will help keep it looking its best.
